This policy explains what we collect through clearredline.com, how we use it and who we share it with. It sits alongside our Terms of Service. Where a document you send is subject to attorney confidentiality obligations, those obligations are broader than this policy and control.
Contact and matter information you give us: your name, email address, telephone number, the counterparty's identity, and the objectives you state at intake. Documents you upload for review. Payment information, processed by Stripe — we do not receive or store full payment card numbers. Usage data collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL and campaign parameters, through Google Analytics and Google Ads. And any correspondence you send us.
To evaluate whether we can accept your matter, to run a conflicts check, to perform and deliver your redline, to take payment, to correspond with you, to keep records we are required to keep, and to understand which advertising and which pages bring people to this site.
Uploaded documents are treated as confidential client or prospective-client material. They are used only to evaluate and perform the review you have requested. They are not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used for any unrelated purpose.
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to run this service, and only for that purpose: our payment processor (Stripe), our website host, our email provider, and Google for analytics and advertising measurement. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where disclosure is permitted by the rules of professional conduct that govern us. We do not sell personal information.
This site uses cookies and similar technologies for Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement. You can block cookies in your browser and can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using the service.
Matter files, including documents you send, are retained for five years after delivery and then destroyed. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings in our analytics account. You may ask us to delete your materials sooner, subject to any recordkeeping obligations that apply to us.
We take reasonable measures to protect information in our possession. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and ordinary email in particular is not a secure medium.
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to intake@clearredline.com. Depending on where you live you may have rights under California or Texas privacy law; we will honour those rights as they apply to us, and will not treat you differently for exercising them.
This service is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy; the effective date above shows when it last changed. Questions: intake@clearredline.com or (562) 495-0554.
